A * after a product link means it is an affiliate link. Our recommendations come from research, not from what pays us.

Important comparison limits

  • Top speed figures come from controlled tests. Do not expect the same speed on a campsite.
  • “Unlocked” does not mean that every SIM, digital eSIM or mobile plan will work.
  • Two SIM slots may switch between networks without using both at the same time.
  • European use depends on the hardware and the current roaming terms.
  • A roof antenna may improve placement. It cannot create coverage where no usable signal exists.
  • Satellite avoids the local mobile mast but needs a clear sky view, power, mounting and a subscription.
